The comprehensive preparation ensures the sophisticated lighting and special effects systems are ready to illuminate over 12,000 pumpkins throughout the park during the Harvest Festival's evening hours.

Advanced Lighting Control Systems Tested

Technical crews have completed testing of Dollywood's first park-wide lighting control system, implemented specifically for the Great Pumpkin LumiNights experience. The low voltage, weather-rated design streamlines the annual installation and incorporates advanced control capabilities that synchronize lighting effects across thousands of pumpkin displays throughout the park, creating seamless illumination transitions during the evening spectacular.

Centerpiece Pumpkin Tree Installation Complete

The installation and testing of the centerpiece 40-foot tall pumpkin tree is complete, with the massive mountain of glowing pumpkins ready to serve as the focal point of Great Pumpkin LumiNights. Technical systems have been tested to ensure optimal illumination of this signature display, along with the larger-than-life Ambercup pumpkin figure and other major installations that will shine bright throughout the evening experience.

Master Artisan Displays Ready

Preparation is complete for the displays created by the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, whose intricate work will be showcased throughout the park. Guests will be able to watch these master artisans turn pumpkins into works of art during the festival, with their creations contributing to the thousands of jack-o-lanterns that create glowing experiences around every corner and the larger-than-life pumpkin displays that light up the night.

Behind the Glow Tours Finalized

Final preparation has been completed for the Behind the Glow guided tours that will offer guests exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Great Pumpkin LumiNights setup. These special tours will demonstrate the complexity of the lighting and special effects installations, provide exclusive experiences and keepsakes, and showcase the technical sophistication that creates the whimsical warming glow of over 12,000 pumpkins that has made this event a regional favorite.
